Media bypass

Pesky questions avoided
when reporters are absent

When someone, usually a politician, says they want to bypass the press and take their message directly to the people, you know they have something to hide.

When people with secrets bypass the press, they don’t have to answer questions and they aren’t required to include opinions from people who disagree with them. They can also pick and choose which facts to communicate and which ones to ignore.

The press makes life difficult for people with secrets and that’s the way it’s supposed to be.

The links below show what happen when powerful people try to avoid the press. See if you can guess what they’re trying to hide.
